The tenth consecutive Christmas video from Celtic kick-starts the festive period and this time it might be the best of them all but it really should come with a warning for anyone who gets embarrassed shedding a tear or two, because it’s almost guaranteed to happen watching this…
Love Big Kasper getting asked if he’s a ghost, with a nod to Sandman and if you watch closely enough you’ll also see Matt Corr in there too! And I was up at Lennoxtown just before the match against Kilmarnock where the cast were getting together after training to film the team bus scenes.
Nice to see former players Scott Brown, Joe Hart and of course one of the stars of the show Henrik Larsson all appearing.
Here’s how Celtic describe the new Christmas film for 2024…
Celtic Football Club is entering into the festive spirit this week with the launch of the club’s Christmas film for 2024!
We’re making Hoops and Dreams come true with a beautiful festive tale, following life-long Celtic supporter, Joe and his granddaughter, Lily as they get ready for their first festive season without Joe’s beloved wife Margaret. They go on to experience a very special Christmas where their dreams become reality, thanks to some of their favourite Celts. This is a film for anyone who has ever wished they could play for Celtic – sometimes, with a little bit of festive magic, even the wildest dreams can come true.
It’s 10 years since Scott Brown pulled on a green and white onesie for the first Celtic Christmas film and we hope the latest edition will bring a smile to the faces of Hoops fans everywhere as the Club and Celtic FC Foundation come together again, along with some very familiar faces to make Christmas magic.
Lifelong Celtic supporter and Scottish TV icon, Tony Roper, makes his sensational return to the screen for the first time in 10 years as he stars as Grandpa Joe, whose uplifting story is bound to tug on the heartstrings of those who relate to him as Christmas approaches.
Once again, the eagerly anticipated film showcases the true spirit of Christmas and our collective continued commitment to Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal.
Celtic in the Thirties by Celtic Historian Matt Corr is published in two volumes by Celtic Star Books. OUT NOW!
