The Brazilian winger himself revealed what he was going through at that time and also reflected on the huge alleged Saudi offer, which he only found out about a few days ago, during an interview with TNT SPORTS (h/t FCB World). Speaking about the big offer from Saudi Arabia, Raphinha revealed:

“Yesterday, someone sent me news about the offer from Saudi Arabia, and honestly, it surprised me a lot, because the figures are extremely, extremely high. Honestly, if this offer had come to me last year, I think I would have gone.”

“Because at that time, I was somewhat psychologically broken, and this offer would have solved everything in my life. My wife’s life, my family’s life. It was an amount capable of completely changing our lives. And whoever says they wouldn’t go is lying, because it’s impossible to see figures of that magnitude and not think that this offer could change your life, and that you might go.”

Ultimately, Raphinha decided to stay at Barcelona, and this decision is now proving to be the right one for him and the Catalan team.
