Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders is most likely to be sent on loan next season according to The Athletic.
The Blues are gearing up for another busy summer with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to improve Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Chelsea could look to fund their business by selling seven or eight players, with a number of stars surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst a striker is the main priority, Chelsea supporters would like to see the club sign a new goalkeeper, given the difficulties between the sticks this season.

Chelsea’s best goalkeeper is arguably Djordje Petrovic, who’s excelling on loan at Strasbourg, whilst the Blues also have talented teenager Penders on their books.
Petrovic is expected compete for the number one next shirt season, whilst Chelsea are said to have high hopes for Penders, who they signed for €20m from Genk last summer.
The Athletic have reported Penders will most likely go out on loan, and Strasbourg would be an obvious destination to continue his development.
The report also adds Chelsea aren’t currently planning on signing another keeper, whilst Penders stated last month all options were still on the table for him.
Despite reports stating Chelsea aren’t looking to sign a number one this summer, that hasn’t stopped the Blues from being linked with keepers.
The strongest links have been with Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel, with it believed the Bundesliga outfit could ask for as much as €60m for the 27-year-old.

There’s also been links with AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, although a move for the France international would appear unlikely at this stage.
Like with a striker, the Blues need to make the right decision in goal this summer, but it’s hard to have faith in the decision makers given their track record with signing goalkeepers.
