MIAMI — The Bahamas and Guatemala face off in the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship semifinals on Saturday at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, The Bahamas.
The winner will advance to Sunday's tournament final and earn one of the two Concacaf berths for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
The Bahamas vs. Guatemala
The Bahamas and Guatemala meet for a spot in the 2025 final and FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
The hosts are coming off a back-and-forth 5-4 victory against Trinidad and Tobago to win Group B and advance to the semifinals. Wood Julmis, Lekenson Chery, a Brandon Adderley brace, and a match-winning goal from Kyle Williams led The Bahamas to the next round.
Los Chapines won 5-1 against Costa Rica to take second place in Group A. Pablo Crocker, Miguel González, Berny Marroquín, and an Edwin López brace secured the result for Guatemala.
Both nations look to advance to their first Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship final. Guatemala came closest in 2021, finishing in third place. The Bahamas’ best effort came in the previous edition, finishing fourth in 2023, a tournament they also hosted.
The two were inseparable in their previous two tournament meetings, which came in the group stage of the last two editions, with both having to be decided on penalties. The two tied 3-3 in 2021, with Guatemala winning 3-1 on PKs, and drew 2-2 in 2023, when The Bahamas won 5-4 on spot kicks.
