What a year is has been for the Los Angeles Galaxy. An unprecedented 2024 MLS Season saw the Western Conference darlings regain the level of being recognized as a juggernaut.

Less than a month ago, the league crowned a new champion during its 29th season. A soccer club that has been to the Finals a record tenth time capitalized on the opportunity for a sixth time.

Leading up to the historic title game, a few rumors have swirled as to the next international signings by the LA Galaxy. Less than a year ago, General Manager inked Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec to deals. During the summer, Marco Reus became a mid-season acquisition, too.

Here is a trio of talent that it would not be a complete shock if these stars joined the LA Galaxy.

1. Robert Lewandowski, Striker

If you ask Pec, Paintsil and Serbian forward Dejan Joveljic, the Polish professional footballer would fit in nicely with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Currently, the striker plays for Barcelona. In 87 appearances, the Warsaw, Poland native has accumulated 58 goals. That type of scoring prowess would gel well with a team that scored a Western Conference high 69 goals in 2024.

He has also scored 84 more goals for the Poland National Men's Team during the 156 appearances. Lewandowski, 36, has been a member of his national squad since 2008.

With the injury that Riqui Puig suffered during the Western Conference Finals against the Seattle Sounders, the addition of Lewandowski would certainly make his absence feel less heavy. In 2024, Puig.

The LA Galaxy midfielder had 13 goals and 16 assists during the 29 regular season games he played in. His scoring ability dominated the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs as he launched four scores and an assist in Games 1 and 2 against the Colorado Rapids.

Kuntz and Head Coach Greg Vanney would be two of the luckiest individuals to snag Lewandowski should he chose to come stateside and play for Major League Soccer. The rumors have been swirling most of 2024. Thus, this is a potential development in the making.

2. Lucas Sanabria, Defense & Midfielder

This international player would also fit in nicely with a deep LA Galaxy roster. We have seen players like Julian Aude play more than one position.

Primarily a defender, he has come in to play midfield and even scored for the Galaxy. Recent first-round draft pick Jason Bucknor played both midfield and defense for the University of Michigan Wolverines.

The Big Ten Conference produced a number of selections including Dean Boltz (3rd overall pick to the Chicago Fire) and Jansen Miller (8th overall pick to Sporting Kansas City).

The Paraguayan professional footballer currently plays midfield for Libertdad. Sanabria In 44 appearances, he has scored four times. The 25-year-old sensation coming to the Los Angeles Galaxy would be a dream come true.

As last season proved, dreams do come true. Sanabria would compliment Reus, Joveljic and company,

3. Hakim Ziyech, Midfielder

After the Los Angeles Galaxy recently traded away Gaston Brugman for Sean Davis from the Nashville SC club, the team has shown they are wanting to revamp midfield somewhat. Especially, with the expected absence to Puig.

Adding Davis and Bucknor does not eliminate the possibility that Kuntz executes a deal to ink another skilled player in the same position.

Turning 32 years old in March, Ziyech is a Dutch-born footballer has an impressive resume. From 2014-2016, he played in 68 games for Twente and scored 30 times. He found the back of the net 39 more times for his next squad, Ajax, from 2016-2020.

In 2020-2024, Ziyech scored six times in 64 appearances for Chelsea. He currently plays for Galatasaray. Ziyech has played for the Moroccan National Team since 2015. He has scored 25 times in 64 appearances.

Coming to MLS and playing for the LA Galaxy would make a splash much like Paintsil and Pec did in 2024. If the Galaxy are looking to be the first repeat champions in the league since 2011 & 2012 (when they last did it), signing Lewandowski, Sanabria, or Ziyech is an (almost) must.
