At FLW, we have taken a look at players who could depart Coventry City in January.
Coventry City are in a period of uncertainty for the first time in a while, after the club's hierarchy opted to terminate Mark Robins' contract.
At present, it seems that Frank Lampard will take the job over with the former Derby County boss currently in advanced talks with the Sky Blues.
The former England international has a mixed managerial record, with strong spells at the Rams and Chelsea being overshadowed by a woeful time at Everton.
Coventry fans will hope that Lampard takes inspiration from his time in the East Midlands if he signs, where he took his side to the Play-Off Final.
While he likely won't have the expectation of providing this result in the current campaign, a strong January window could be pivotal to getting them back on track.
If Lampard takes the reins, he will need to carefully assess the squad, making key decisions on who to keep and who to let go in order to streamline the team and strengthen it for the second half of the season.
With this in mind at Football League World, we have detailed the three Coventry City players likely to leave in the winter transfer window.
Having signed for Coventry from Rochdale in the winter window of 2021, Fabio Tavares has spent almost three years in and around the first team. However, during that period he has made just 29 appearances, scoring four goals for the Sky Blues.
This season has seen his gametime reduced even further, as despite being on the bench ten times, Tavares hasn't played a single league minute.
At 23-years-old, the striker still has undoubted potential and a loan move may help him develop the promise he has shown so far in his career.
During his time at Rochdale, he made 26 League One appearances, and a return to this level may suit the forward. During the summer window, Reading were in hot pursuit of the youngster, but for one reason or another, it didn't come to fruition.
January may see the Royals return and if they do, Coventry should offload Tavares for six months.
In a similar fashion to Tavares, Kai Andrews has been forced to sit on the bench for most of this campaign and is still yet to make an appearance.
Having signed his first professional contract in January 2024, the 18-year-old is believed to have a huge future at the CBS Arena. However, to maximise his potential, a six-month loan away could be beneficial and give Andrews his first true taste of men's football.
A tall central midfielder, it remains unclear where Coventry would like him to go, but one could imagine that a high-end National League side or a League Two club would offer him the suitable game time he needs.
This could see him return in the summer much improved, and he could begin to trouble the starting 11.
Brad Collins may have only signed for Coventry in the summer of 2023, but 18 months on it seems that his time at the Sky Blues could be up.
Last season he racked up 31 appearances and was brilliant in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United. However, the arrival of Oliver Dovin from Hammarby IF has seen game time reduced, but he did start the recent fixture against Sunderland with Dovin and Ben Wilson out injured.
This could provide him with hope he can earn that number one spot back, but if not, he should depart the club on a permanent deal. Plenty of Championship and League One sides will likely be keeping an eye on his situation and Coventry may see an opportunity to cash in.
At 27-years-of-age, a starting spot is what Collins needs, and he could make a real difference to whatever club he potentially signs for.
