Germany drew their home match against Hungary in the Euro 2021 group F. The match finished 2-2 (0-1).
Hungary started the match best and took the lead early when Adam Szalai scored a goal after 11 minutes, with an assist by Roland Sallai, making it 1-0.
After that the game came to a long, indecisive standstill without either team managing to score. In the 66th minute, Kai Havertz scored a goal, with an assist by Mats Hummels, to equalise for Germany.
Hungary’s Andras Schäfer also scored in the 68th minute as he scored a goal, from a pass from Adam Szalai.
Six minutes left to play, Germany’s Leon Goretzka equalised as he scored a goal, what brought the final score to 2-2.
The qualifiers are over and Germany finished in second place and Hungary in fourth. Germany secured their spot in the playoffs.
