NWSL finally returned to our screens after a few weeks off with two games Friday evening. Here is what went down in Louisville and San Diego.
Savannah DeMelo struck once again as Racing Louisville won their fourth game of the season, downing a struggling Houston Dash.
Meanwhile in Southern California, league leaders Orlando were held by San Diego thanks to a late Makenzy Doniak equalizer.
Now thats how you improvise a finish!
Two straight wins for Louisville means they have moved up into a playoff spot after a shaky start to the campaign, yet they still sit a staggering 13 points behind Orlando.
The aforementioned Pride have been showing real signs of being the best team in the league, but they suffered their fifth draw of the campaign. While they remain top of the league for now, a win for second place KC Current on Sunday would see them leapfrog Orlando.
NWSL games continue through weekend as Portland, Kansas City, and Washington all in action across Saturday and Sunday.
