The FA Cup team of the fourth round has been revealed after the weekend action.
All sixteen fourth round matches played out, with the ‘weekend’ games stretching from Friday night to Tuesday night.
Those sixteen matches including Newcastle United’s full of character 3-2 victory at Birmingham, to take them into the quarter-finals.
Now the FA Cup team of the fourth round has been announced, based on the Whoscored ratings from all the games, the highest rated player in each position, from the sixteen matches played.
With one surprise Newcastle United star included.
‘The whoscored ratings use data from every single Premier League match, over 200 raw statistics included in the automated calculation of a player’s rating, weighted according to their influence within the game.
Every event of importance is taken into account, with a positive or negative effect on ratings weighted in relation to its area on the pitch and its outcome.’
Whoscored FA Cup team of the fourth round – 12 February 2025:
I say ‘surprise’ Newcastle United star, not because I think Will Osula played badly, quite the opposite actually, he was excellent I thought.
However, two goal MOTM Joe Willock was clearly the best NUFC player on Saturday. However, due to former mackem Jack Clarke getting a higher rating in that wide left midfield position, Willock not included.
