If Alejandro Garnacho’s unbelievable overhead kick in Manchester United’s win at Everton on Sunday doesn’t win the Premier League Goal of the Season, it will have been beaten by something very special.
But where does that strike rank among some of the other great goals we’ve seen in 2023 so far?
Our writers pick their favourites. Let us know YOURS in the comments.
I am an absolute sucker for a rabona, and the one Nuno Santos expertly executed to score for Sporting CP against Boavista back in March is my favourite goal of the year so far. Audacious stuff.
Lucky enough to have seen both Garnacho’s wonder strike and İlkay Gündoğan’s cool no-look finish for Manchester City in the flesh this year so the latter has to be a strong contender.
Nothing sweeter than a perfectly-executed volley, is there?
It might not be the most outrageous goal, but considering his age, the opponent, the stage and of course, the strike, Jude Bellingham joins our list. One of the first hints that ‘He is Him,’ right?
