But the international break has actually been pretty decent and if you havenā€™t been following it, youā€™re missing out.

Itā€™s all good though, weā€™ve got you covered ā€¦

Italy survive relegation

Some good news, at last, for Roberto Manciniā€™s Italy.

The Azzurri were in serious danger of being relegated from League A Group 3 (donā€™t worry, we still donā€™t understand it either) until Fiorentinaā€™s Cristiano Biraghi popped up with a last-gasp winner against Poland on Sunday.

That victory sets up an intriguing meeting with Portugal ā€“ who are currently top of the group ā€“ in November.

And how about this for passion?

Scotland shoot themselves in the foot

Speaking of Portugal, they won 3-1 in a friendly against Scotland at Hampden Park on Sunday evening.

Wolves winger HĆ©lder Costa ā€“ making his international debut ā€“ scored the gameā€™s opening goal ā€¦

Before Euro 2016 final hero Eder made it 2-0 in the second half ā€¦

And how about this for a goal from RB Leipzigā€™s Bruma?

The hosts grabbed a late consolation with a pretty decent goal of their own ā€¦

But it was too little, too late and afterwards, Scotland boss Alex McLeish aired his frustration at his sideā€™s rudimentary errors.

ā€œYou expect the top teams to cut through you with some majestic skill and leave you trailing but we were the perpetrators of our own mistakes,ā€ he said.

If youā€™re able to speak Scottish, youā€™ll love this tweet ā€¦

Is this the worst penalty ever?

Serbia were held to a 0-0 draw by ten-man Romania in the Nations League on Sunday but it would have been a different story had Ajax midfielder DuÅ”an Tadić not taken one of the most horrible penalties weā€™ve ever seen.

That Riyad Mahrez effort at Anfield suddenly doesnā€™t seem so bad after all.

Kenya believe it?

There were a couple of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday too.

First up, Kenya won 3-0 at home to Ethiopia in Group F ā€¦

Before Guinea Bissau narrowly overcame Zambia in Group K ā€¦

But you knew that already, didnā€™t you?

Goal of the Day

This award goes to Kosovo midfielder Milot Rashica, who plays his club football for Werder Bremen and scored this belter in his sideā€™s 1-1 draw with the Faroe Islands on Sunday.

Pow!

This one, from Montserratā€™s Spencer Weir-Daley in the Concacaf Nations League, wasnā€™t half bad either.

Weir-Daley plays for Barwell in the Southern League Premier Division Central (the 7th tier of English football) and he probably doesnā€™t score too many like that one!
