Today we are addressing what is wrong with the Leicester City team at present. Along with the negative, we'll also detail what we think is good, or at least satisfactory, within the main playing squad. Overall, there are perhaps a trio of noticeable top priorities for Ruud van Nistelrooy to solve on his Foxes to do list.
The Dutchman hasn't been in charge for long at City, winning one important match. Not to mention drawing and losing his other two LCFC contests so far. Even though his time on Filbert Way is obviously at an infancy, some festive points are a must for the relegation-threatened east Midlands side. So which elements does the ex-Manchester United man have to change? And what is all right at King Power Stadium ahead of the Wolverhampton Wanderers visit?
A Midlands derby is almost upon Leicester and Wolves. This weekend the two clubs do battle in the hope of boosting their Premier League statuses. There is a chance that this game will be drawn with points shared in parity. But Foxes of Leicester are not predicting an equal scoreline.
Fireworks are likely. A tense and intense clash is what this writer envisions. Hopefully Jamie Vardy can power his teammates to a vital victory. The former England international has scored numerous times against the Wanderers over the years. His antagonistic celebrations are motivating as well as legendary in this fixture.
We can all acknowledge that the 48-year-old has a tough task at Leicester. When they're fit, he actually possesses a solid and effectual central midfield. With a healthy Abdul Fatawu, the wing area is also competent. Our beloved starting No.9 remains effective.
However, a new centre back is required in my opinion. Pairings from the four choices seem incapable of steadying the ship. Unfortunately, Van Nistelrooy disagrees.
