Birmingham City have been heavily linked with re-signing Che Adams and there are a couple of other players seemingly destined to move to St Andrews.
Having broken the all-time EFL points total to dominate League One and return to the Championship at the first attempt this season, Birmingham City will be looking to build a squad that can compete for promotion to the Premier League over the summer.
Blues’ co-owner and chairman Tom Wagner has already discussed how much revenue Birmingham are generating, hinting at the fact their heavy spending spree from last summer may not be a one off.
The third-tier champions have recently been linked with a move for former striker Che Adams, who left Birmingham for Southampton in the summer of 2019, from Serie A side Torino.
As well as the potential return of Adams, Phil Neumann has already completed a move to St Andrews with the Hannover defender having signed a pre-contract agreement in January.
Football League World has taken a look at a couple of other players who could be making the move to the second city alongside Neumann and potentially Adams this summer.
This is one deal that almost looks certain to happen this summer with Poku having been linked with Birmingham for a while now and Football League World exclusively revealing that the Peterborough
United attacker is set to be offered a £30,000 per week contract to sign at St Andrews.
Poku joined Posh from Colchester United in the summer of 2021 when they were a Championship club and after a slow-ish start to his time at London Road he has quickly established himself as one of the best players in League One.
The Ghana international began his season with ten goals and five assists in his first 15 League One appearances this year before a hamstring injury saw him unavailable from early December all the way through to early March but he has returned to action with two more goals and three assists in nine appearances.
His contract at the club is up this summer and the Cambridgeshire-based outfit appear resigned to his departure, despite the fact they offered him a club record contract earlier this season.
Another man that is set to be available on a free transfer this summer is Swansea City defender Harry Darling, who is yet to sign a new contract at the Swansea.com Stadium with his current deal expiring at the end of June.
The 25-year-old centre-back, who joined from Milton Keynes Dons in the summer of 2022, has once again been offered a new deal by the club but is the reported subject of significant interest from Birmingham as they seek to build a promotion-challenging side for next season.
As well as Birmingham, it has been reported that Championship duo Bristol City and Sheffield United, both with hopes of gaining promotion via the play-offs this season, are interested in the Cambridge-born defender.
