The fixture sees two sides that are aiming to gatecrash to top half of the Barclays Women’s Super League table go head-to-head in Sussex.
When speaking in the pre-match press conference, Brighton & Hove Albion boss Vidošić highlighted similarities between the two sides whilst commenting that he is expecting an exciting contest.
“They’re a very good team who have very dangerous players,” Vidošić said. “They have similar ideas to us where they create the three in the back-line with the left-back going forward, the left-winger inverting inside. They are quite similar, so we know we will have to be fully-focused. At any moment, with the threats that they have upfront, they could put the ball into the back of the net.
“It’s going to have to be full concentration for 90 minutes. It’s shaping up to be another great game with two teams that want to control the ball, want to play and both want to win.”
Brighton & Hove Albion were poor on home soil last year but they got off to a winning start at Broadfield Stadium this season when they defeated Everton 4-0 on opening day. Vidošić said that results are important at home but ultimately, it’s about the performance.
He said “In football, results are the one thing that you can’t guarantee. We want to play our football, we know what we want to do and that’s what we can control. If you perform, you give yourself every chance of getting a result but there are always those days where you walk off and you’ve got away with one or where you’ve been unlucky not to walk off with more.
“It’s results orientated and we are always judged by results but I think the performances are even more important. If we can apply ourselves and come prepared, we give ourselves a great chance to get three points again.”
