Thiago Motta can call upon injured duo Khephren Thuram and Weah once again, as they are back in the travelling squad for Saturday’s Serie A match against Empoli following a brief spell on the sidelines.

Thuram and Weah both suffered similar injuries in the opening weekend of the 2024-25 Serie A season, specifically in the 3-0 victory over Como. The Bianconeri pair went on to miss the matches against Hellas Verona and Empoli prior to the international break.

Both have since returned to training though, in time for a busy week including Serie A matches against Empoli and Napoli and a Champions League visit from PSV squeezed in between.

Thuram and Weah back in the Juventus squad for Saturday’s Serie A clash against Empoli, in an otherwise unsurprising list of first-team players.

Saturday’s reports suggest that Thiago Motta could hand first starts to Teun Koopmeiners and Douglas Luiz, who have both appeared off the bench since their respective arrivals this summer.

Confirmed: Juventus squad for Empoli

Goalkeepers: Di Gregorio, Perin, Pinsoglio.

Defenders: Cambiaso, Danilo, Savona, Bremer, Gatti, Kalulu, Cabal, Rouhi.

Midfielders: Locatelli, Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz, McKennie, Thuram, Fagioli, Weah.

Forwards: Vlahovic, Yildiz, Nico Gonzalez, Mbangula, Adzic.
