You should definitely expect some Leicester City players to leave over the summer. And that'll probably include a few stars leaving too. And according to reports, as well as his agent with an agenda, one City player is already wanted by other clubs. However, the Foxes defender might also stay for 2025/26 in the Championship. What's the story here, and what do we make of it?
Along with offering information and insight there, we also look at another LCFC matter. A once prominent Fox has been casting an eye over the King Power squad and their current situation. The former England international says the team requires massive repair and rebuilding. And the retired professional is not wrong!
In fact, in what was described as a 'scathing attack' on his old side, Emile Heskey claims most of the Foxes playing staff 'should be shown the door'. Let's get down to examining both of these Leicester updates.
Heskey has not held back here. After a gruelling campaign, this is actually great to hear! He believes that 80-90 per cent of LCFC's players should be sold or released!
The ex-Liverpool man also said he was surprised that Jamie Vardy decided to leave. I don't agree there, I wasn't particularly shocked that the striker is departing.
"Leicester are in transition, and the whole club now needs gutting, in my opinion. I’m talking about 80 or 90% of the players need to move on, and the club needs a full overhaul."Heskey
Ruud van Nistelrooy hasn't always used Caleb Okoli this term. But some of the Blue Army fan base warmed to what they saw from the Italian.
Okoli's agent, Alessandro Barison, has recently been discussing his client's future. Apparently opportunities exist for the defender to leave City this summer too.
Yet the comments from Barison are slightly ambiguous. Judge for yourself below:
"...It doesn't mean that staying where he is can't be good, but we need to evaluate everything, from the Championship to the project for the future.Playing in the Championship is not like playing in the Premier League. He has a market, both in English and Italian football."Barison
