Wout Weghorst

Leeds United are in dire need of a goalscoring striker this summer. The Whites currently have three options in Patrick Bamford, Tyler Roberts and Jean-Kevin Augustin. The latter is set to return to RB Leipzig after the end of the campaign when his loan contract expires.

Bamford, meanwhile, has flourished under Bielsa. His work-rate and technical quality are lauded by the Argentine. But, at the same time, the 26-year-old is not a prolific forward. And that’s where Wout Weghorst could come into the fray.

The Wolfsburg striker is a lethal number nine, known for his physical and aerial prowess. Standing at 1.97m, the Dutchman dominates the air and can easily be utilised as a target man. He can, therefore, add a new element to the Leeds United attack that’s going to be essential in their bid to survive in the Premier League.

Robin Koch

The only player on this list who is actually linked with a move to Leeds United, Robin Koch could be an ideal acquisition for the Championship league leaders.

The SC Freiburg star is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga, thanks to his performances under Christian Streich within the past 12 months. This season, in particular, Koch has emerged as a leader in the Freiburg backline, helping the club get off to an astonishing start to the season.

What makes Koch such an appealing target for Leeds United is his versatility. Aside from his preferred centre-back role, the German international can operate as a holding midfielder. That means he can not only partner Liam Cooper in the backline but can also provide backup for holding midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

However, with Tottenham Hotspur also chasing his signature, securing the services of Koch could turn out to be a challenging task for Leeds United this summer.

Pavel Kaderabek

Leeds United surely need a new right-back if they are to add more quality to their backline next season. Pavel Kaderabek, in that regard, might be an ideal fit.

Given the hard-working nature of Bielsa’s tactical setup, combined with the Premier League’s fast-paced football, the Whites need talented fullbacks who can not only cover the pitch but can also provide some attacking substance. The TSG Hoffenheim star fits the bill right on.

A product of the Sparta Praha youth academy, Kaderabek is known for his tenacity, aggression and commitment. Moreover, he can also operate on the opposite flank – making him an ideal target for Bielsa.
