Liverpool are champions of Europe and were oh so close to the Premier League title last season.

Can any of the current youth crop do ā€˜an Alexander-Arnoldā€™ and become crucial first team members this season?

Ben Woodburn

The Welsh international became Liverpoolā€™s youngest ever goalscorer back in 2016 but, three years on, things havenā€™t gone as well as many wouldā€™ve hoped.

Still a teenager, Woodburn is capable of the spectacular, as shown during his rise through the ranks.

He went on to score on Wales debut too and is already a regular for his country. Surely JĆ¼rgen Klopp can find a way to start using him rather than sending him out on loan again?

Rhian Brewster

Back from a horror injury, Brewster will be included in next seasonā€™s first team squad. With Daniel Sturridge leaving the club, thereā€™s an opening for him to make his mark.

The 19-year-old striker announced himself two years ago, scoring eight goals to fire England U-17s to World Cup glory.

On the bench for last seasonā€™s Champions League semi-final and final, heā€™s on the verge of breaking through.

Ki-Jana Hoever

ā€œIt is just a joy to watch him. He is an incredible, confident young fella and is really a good player on top of that. Itā€™s nice we can see him day in, day out. Itā€™s really cool.

ā€œHe is for sure for the future, but when the future starts I donā€™t know.ā€

Just days after saying that back in January, an injury crisis saw Klopp play Hoever alongside Fabinho in defence as Liverpool faced Wolves in January.

And the teenager didnā€™t look out of place. Expect to see more of him very soon indeed.
