Tommaso Pobega and Alex Meret were the best Italian players in Week 17 as they contributed to Bologna and Napoli’s latest league victories.

Six standout Italian performers were rated at least 7 out of 10, and two stood over the rest.
Bologna midfielder Pobega scored a classic Gol dell’ex against his former club, Torino, in Bologna’s 2-0 win in Piedmont while Meret produced crucial saves in the second half at Marassi, allowing Napoli to secure a 2-1 win over Genoa and move two points below Serie A leaders Atalanta.
Two of the remaining four players were involved in the relegation battle between Venezia and Cagliari. Veteran striker Leonardo Pavoletti scored a goal for the Sardinians, while Gaetano Oristanio provided an assist for the Lagunari, inspiring a much-needed home victory.
Lorenzo Lucca and Samuele Birindelli scored a goal apiece in Udinese’s win against Fiorentina and Monza’s defeat to Juventus.
