Tottenham continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 win over QPR.
Scorers: Bissouma 41′, Scarlett 87′
Ange Postecoglou handed starts to summer signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall as his side aimed to build on Wednesday’s 5-1 drubbing of Hearts.
Jake Clarke-Salter fired an early warning shot off target for the Hoops before Rayan Kolli’s effort was saved by Brandon Austin.
The Lilywhites’ response at Loftus Road came through Son Heung-min being denied by Paul Nardi and Yves Bissouma’s curled strike later flying over the crossbar.
Bissouma later opened the scoring for Postecoglou’s side shortly before the interval by rounding Nardi after a neat one-two with Dejan Kulusevski.
Nardi remained the busier goalkeeper in the second half as he saved an attempt from Mikey Moore with his legs after Kulusevski picked out the young winger.
But substitute Dane Scarlett produced an instant impact to stave off a late QPR onslaught by sliding home to meet Moore’s cutback in the penalty area.
Spurs are next in action on 27 July against J1 League outfit Vissel Kobe in the opening game on their tour of Asia.
