Tottenham Hotspurs have started their Southampton recruitment strategy. Emerging forward Subomi Dare is on the verge of joining Tottenham with Tyler Dibing and Kyle Walker-Peters also tipped to follow suit.
Preseason is still two months away in the Premier League but Southampton may have started theirs already. The initial resolutions of dodging the second-division drop have been broken and what remains now is to bring the campaign to a respectable end.
Hence, a better use of this time will be to start initiating contacts with interested clubs for adding and offloading a few players. Now, can you guess, where should the Saints start from?
Without a doubt, the first negotiations must be held with Tottenham Hotspurs. After all, their bottom table neighbors hold a keen interest in swaying away neither one nor two but three players from Southampton.
On top of that, Tottenham are on the brink of starting their hat-trick acquisition.
According to a report from Lilywhite Rose, Southampton teenager Subomi Dare is eyeing a Tottenham academy switch.
Now, a common thought arises that Southampton mustn't worry much given that Subomi wasn't a regular presence in their youth teams. Still, analysing this scenario indicates that the struggling Premier League giants are putting a transfer statement in front of the Saints.
One, which might see them onboard Tyler Dibling in a matter of months. Talking about who holds the advantage here, it's definitely Tottenham because Dibling's recent shortcomings have been the talk of the town in the Premier League.
Last but not the least, Tottenham have also kept Kyle Walker-Peters on their free transfer checklist. Contrary to the above duo, this move is an already lost ground for Southampton.
Consequently, Ange Postecoglou's side is certainly to have the major say on Walker-Peters if they outperform their London counterparts.
