He has even trained with the senior team under the watchful eyes of manager Cristian Fiel, garnering praise for his performances on the training ground.

Per Bild, the Hertha Berlin coaching staff have been impressed by Lum’s skill set, describing him as their greatest academy talent.

Fiel himself commended Lum’s progress, noting his standout contributions during training sessions.

Such acclaim has not gone unnoticed across Europe, with Tottenham among the clubs eager to secure his services.

Lum has reportedly been in discussions with Spurs on multiple occasions, visiting the club’s training facilities and attending matches last season.

Spurs have been showing interest in the youngster for some time now. The first reports of Tottenham’s interest emerged in February after he attended the 3-1 home win over Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve.

However, Tottenham face competition for his signature, with Bayern Munich, Ajax, Barcelona, and Manchester City monitoring his development closely.

Lum has a contract that runs until 2026, and it reportedly carries a release clause of €5 million, a figure that Tottenham or any interested club can trigger to engineer a summer move.

Tottenham have been proactive in the market, snapping up several exciting youngsters, including Archie Gray, Luka Vuskovic and Lucas Bergvall. They could be set to add another terrific young talent to the mix.

An exciting young core to lead Spurs for years

Tottenham are assembling a core of young players that will be crucial to the club’s ambition for years.

The club has picked up some exciting starlets that, if developed right, can become world-beaters that carry Spurs to new heights.

If Tottenham can find good loan destinations and create a clear path to the first team, Spurs could be set for a bright future.
