Roma legend Francesco Totti was asked about the recent rumors that resurfaced regarding a shocking return to playing football.

However, the Giallorossi captain denied this as an option for the future.

“Yes, there were some calls from a Serie A team and I had considered it,” acknowledged Totti in an interview with Fabrizio Romano.

“Then I thought about it and on one hand I would have liked to play football, because I wasn’t the one to decide when to retire, but on the other hand I said ‘Enough, you’re becoming pathetic. You’re 47/48 years old…’.”

“I grew up with Roma and I will die with Roma,” he concluded.
