Delap, who spent the most recent 2023/24 campaign with Hull City at the MKM Stadium, has made six first-team appearances for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, including scoring on his debut for the Sky Blues against Bournemouth in 2020.

The 2003-born forward also featured in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Emirates FA Cup for Manchester City, alongside scoring 32 goals in 32 Premier League 2 appearances for the Blues’ EDS at the City Football Academy.

Delap was directly involved in 10 goals in 32 appearances for Hull City last campaign, and was also subject to interest from Southampton this summer, with the Saints and Ipswich both having bids accepted by Etihad officials.

The striker has opted to switch to Suffolk, but will return to the Etihad Stadium next month, when Ipswich face Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday 24 August.
