Arsenal could lose Jorginho this month, with his agent offering him to Palmeiras.
ESPN report that the 33-year-old is open to an Emirates exit and a move to Brazil is of interest, having been born in the country but never played for a professional club.
Jorginho is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and Mikel Arteta recently suggested that there had been no movement on the situation.
"I don’t want to start to have these conversations now, I want to have these conversations much later because the focus has to be on what we have to do in the season," the Gunners boss said.

Manchester City look to be pushing for a hat-trick of new signings early in the January transfer window.
Reports claim that Omar Marmoush had agreed a deal in principle to move to the Etihad Stadium from Eintracht Frankfurt, with City beating the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool to a deal for the Egypt forward.
City have also been attempting to close a deal for Palmeiras’ teenage defender Vitor Reis, while Fabrizio Romano reports they are now on the verge of signing another young centre-back in Abdukodir Khusanov.
Talks with French club Lens over the Uzbekistan international, 20, are said to be in their final stages with an agreement reached over a £34m deal and Khusanov having already settled on personal terms.

An interesting new update from France now on man of the moment Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
PSG appear to be leading the race to sign the Georgian star from Napoli this month, though Liverpool and Manchester United have also been heavily linked, along with Chelsea and Arsenal to a lesser extent.
The French giants have been trying to agree a deal for Kvaratskhelia this week, but it seems complicated.
RMC Sport in France report that the player wants to join PSG, who cannot meet Napoli’s demands for a total package of €80m unless they make a big sale first.
Talks are said to be continuing, but could this open the door for Liverpool and Chelsea?

Wolves are fighting off interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool in Joao Gomes.
It's been a month of warding off admiring glances for Wolves, after Mattheus Cunha decided to sign a new contract rather than be swayed by Gunners interest.
And now Gomes is a target, report The Sun. Wolves hold all the cards, though, with the Brazilian under contract until 2028
It would only take a huge bid for Wolves even to consider selling him.

Manchester United have now emerged as big players in the increasingly crowded battle for Randal Kolo Muani, fresh reports claim.
An imminent move to Tottenham quickly became an open race between Spurs and Juventus and is now apparently being led by United.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany reports that United are stepping up their pursuit of Kolo Muani and are “determined to do everything possible” to secure his signature this month.
They have apparently spoken to the player’s camp already and are now expected to approach PSG as they target a loan agreement with an option to buy.
Plettenberg names Chelsea, Aston Villa and AC Milan - plus ‘other clubs’ - as other interested parties in Kolo Muani, along with Tottenham and Juventus.

Arsenal are set to bank a seven-figure sum by Mika Biereth joining Monaco from Sturm Graz, writes Simon Collings.
The Gunners sold Danish forward Biereth to Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer for £4m and inserted a sell-on clause into the deal.
Standard Sport understands that sell-on clause was significant and Arsenal are now set to benefit as Biereth closes in on a move to Monaco.
The French club have agreed to pay £10.8m up front for the striker, with a further £1.75m in add-ons, and he is now due to undergo a medical.

Graham Potter admitted West Ham will consider bringing a new forward into the club due to an injury pile-up amid links with Marcus Rashford.
Striker Niclas Fullkrug went off after 15 minutes against Villa with what looked like a serious hamstring injury, compounding an already difficult situation in attack where Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen are both sidelined.
“I need to assess the injuries and assess where we are at, have a think in terms of everybody connected.
“We’ll have a think, if we can find anybody that can help us. If those [players] are out, it’s something we’ll have to look at, of course.”
Potter added: “I only comment on players that are West Ham players. All the speculation aren’t always exactly true and you can get yourself in all sorts of knots confirming or denying everything. It’s best to just speak about players that are West Ham players.”
