Jordan Amavi joins Stade Brestois 29! After two previous loan spells with OGC Nice (Jan. 2022-June 2022) and Getafe (ESP, Sept. 2022-June 2023), the 29-year-old left-back has once again been loaned out by Olympique de Marseille. The native of Toulon will now play for the Breton club for the 2023-24 season. He is an experienced addition to Eric Roy's squad, having made 159 appearances in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
Algerian international at Metz
FC Metz have signed a Fennec! With just over 24 hours to go before the summer transfer window closed, Les Grenats announced the recruitment of full-back Kevin Van Den Kerkhof. After arriving at SC Bastia just over a year ago, the player who became an Algerian international in March 2023 had a superb season with the Corsican club in Ligue 2 BKT. A season revelation on the right wing, he scored five goals and provided seven assists in 38 games last season. The 27-year-old defender has committed himself to the Moselle club until 2026, and he will wear the number 22 shirt.
A promising midfielder at Rennes
Stade Rennais have further strengthened their midfield! The Breton club announced the signing of Fabian Rieder on Thursday morning. Trained at Young Boys Bern, the versatile 21-year-old midfielder has chosen to leave his hometown, with two league titles (2021 and 2023) and a Swiss Cup, to move to France. The Swiss international played his final match for Young Boys Bern on Tuesday evening, helping them qualify for the Champions League group stage.
"It's a great moment for me, I'm joining a club with a lot of ambition," he told his new club's official website. "At Rennes, I'll have the opportunity to rub shoulders with some very good players, and I'll be playing in a squad that's very strong technically."
