MIAMI – The second day of the 2024 Concacaf Girls' U-15 Championship took place on Tuesday, with teams building on their day one performance and others attaining their first points of the campaign.
League A is taking place in Alajuela, Costa Rica. League B matches are being hosted in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and League C encounters are being held in Oranjestad, Aruba.
Jamaica earned its first three points after defeating Haiti with an early goal from Jamara Jones in the 5’, and Ricquanna Richards in the 24’. The first goal of the tournament from Haiti came from the boots of Kerdina Lamour in the 35 '+2.
Mexico got their second win of the group stage, with goals from Vanessa Paredes in the 43’, Evelyn Contreras in the 68’, and Angellinne Aballana in the 70’.
Results
Trinidad & Tobago, hosts of League B, got their first three points after defeating Curaçao. Taya Williams scored the only goal of the match, in the 22’.
After getting a draw in their debut, Antigua and Barbuda got its first win against Grenada with an incredible performance by Keitonya Skepple. The player scored in the 3’, 30’, 39’ and 70’+4’. Denovia Jarvin also saw the back of the net in the 46’.
Results
Saint Lucia bounced back after losing its opening encounter, winning 6-nil against Aruba All Stars. Ivana Marshal sealed a brace with goals in the 8’ and 29’. Kaila Polius added to her tally in the 13’, as did Kenya Richard in the 27’. Amaya Emmauels also got a brace in the 35 '+2' and 37’.
Results
The third day of the 2024 Concacaf Girls' U-15 Championship will only see League C in action on Wednesday at the Guillermo P. Trinidad Stadium in Oranjestad, Aruba.
The day kicks off with Guyana facing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. That match will be followed by local club Aruba All Stars, who will face French Guayana.
