Troy Deeney has picked his best 12 performers from the weekend’s action.

The Premier League team of the week (and manager) that have most impressed him.

Included in his dozen choices are three from Newcastle United.

This NUFC trio all playing key roles in the ten man win over Southampton.

I have no dispute with the Newcastle United selections that Troy Deeney has chosen, BUT, we as NUFC fans, all know that Joelinton was by some distance the main man on Saturday.

Troy Deeney explains why he has picked out Eddie Howe as Premier League manager of the week, plus Dan Burn and Alexander Isak for his Premier League team of the week and then the full eleven (twelve) are listed below:

“He made numerous saves and was just as solid as a rock.

“He struggled with injuries at the end of last season but was great on Saturday as Newcastle ground out a win with 10 men against Southampton.”

“I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves considering just how good he’s been for how little they paid Brighton for him.”
