Kerem Akturkoglu is fast becoming one of the top players in Turkey, thanks to his top performances at SL Benfica.

Formerly of Galatasaray, Akturkoglu is a left-winger by trade, who has enjoyed stellar success since joining Benfica for just €12 million this past summer.

The winger has already racked up 10 goals and six assists in just 17 competitive matches this season, including three goals in the UEFA Champions League.

Given his early performances, Akturkoglu looks destined to become a success at SL Benfica in the years to come.

However, according to Diario AS, Akturkoglu appears to have had his career trajectory already planned out, as the forward is dreaming of a move to Barcelona.

In fact, the report suggests Akturkoglu is thinking of making the big step within his first year at Benfica, with Barcelona being his preferred destination.

This has been revealed by the player’s close friend, Yasin Oztekin, who believes Akturkoglu has the ability to play for a big club like Barcelona as well.

How much will Akturkoglu cost?

It is no secret that Barcelona are looking for attacking reinforcements in the summer of 2025 and Akturkoglu, to that end, might not necessarily be a bad option.

However, securing the services of the Turkish international won’t be easy, as SL Benfica have placed certain safeguards in place.

As per the report, the Portuguese outfit have placed a €100 million release clause, which would make him more expensive than some of Barcelona’s top targets in the market, including Nico Williams.
