Italy international Destiny Udogie has reportedly been approached by Manchester City, but Tottenham Hotspur are refusing to even discuss a deal.

The 22-year-old left-back was purchased from Udinese for €18m plus up to €7m in performance-related bonuses in 2022.

He remained on loan in Udine to help his development before moving to London in 2023, where he has made 60 competitive appearances for Spurs, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

According to Fabrizio Romano on GiveMeSport, his performances caught the eye of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who asked for a summer swoop.

However, now Sky Sport Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg insists that Tottenham rejected the approach, warning that Udogie is not for sale.

With Inter star Federico Dimarco’s recent injury issues, Udogie was able to bump up his senior Italy tally to 11 caps.

He started both the Nations League quarter-final ties against Germany last month, so both Italy and Tottenham fully believe he will continue to progress in his career.
