Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has moved to reveal his appreciation for the efforts of two members of his midfield setup.
This comes owing to their respective efforts in the club’s meeting with Stade Brestois on Tuesday.
Barcelona are of course fresh off a dominant victory on the continent last night, which saw the Catalans best Ligue 1 outfit Brest by three goals to nil in the Champions League.
Featuring from the off in the clash, meanwhile, were engine room duo Pedri and Marc Casadó, both of whom shone bright once more.
The former was responsible for nothing short of a masterclass in possession, dazzling with a series of jinking runs and wonderful touches.
Partner Casadó, for his part, conjured a passing clinic, completing all but two of his 93 attempted passes over the course of the 90 minutes.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of last night’s fixture, boss Flick was therefore drawn on whether or not he is still surprised with the consistent excellence of his midfield pair.
And the German tactician went on to respond:
“Pedri and Casadó don’t surprise me, I see them training every day, they are very good. Pedri is unbelievable with the ball, I’m very happy with the midfield I have.”
