Deniz Undav scored an impressive brace in Germany's 2-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday.
However, the Stuttgart forward will not be involved when Julian Nagelsmann's side take on the Netherlands on Monday.
As confirmed by the German Football Association, Undav will miss the game due to a muscular problem.
His Stuttgart teammate Jamie Leweling will come into the starting eleven instead and is in line to make his Germany debut.
In total, Nagelsmann has made five changes to the team that beat Bosnia-Herzegovina, with Oliver Baumann, Nico Schlotterbeck, Angelo Stiller and Aleksandar Pavlovic all coming into the starting lineup as well.
