There has been an unexpected Chelsea player who won the most amount of duels during the Leicester City versus Chelsea match yesterday.

The Blues travelled away from home and came back with all three points against Steve Cooper’s side. It was Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca’s first return to his former club who he got promoted last season, so he will be even more pleased with coming away from that one with the win.

Leicester were so poor to be honest, but Chelsea were good, and they controlled the game from minute one and saw it through until the end. They could have easily scored a lot more goals as well but they didn’t make the control count. They did eventually find the second goal though through Enzo Fernandez to back up Nicolas Jackson’s opening effort. But Leicester also grabbed a late consolation goal with a penalty.

Felix shines

Felix was a battler yesterday

Joao Felix started the game which came as a bit of a surprise. He is a player who often gets criticised for his lack of work rate and defensive contributions, but yesterday he proved a few critics wrong who think that of him.

Felix actually one the most amount of duels in the game, according to Blue Footy on X.

Félix won most duels (9) and completed most dribbles (4) in the game yesterday, which is actually amazing. To win 9 duels as an attacking midfielder really is quite something. But also having the most amount of dribbles shows that he was doing his attacking role well as well as the defensive side of the game.

I’ve always rated Felix, I think he can be misunderstood at times. He is quality player and will always battle for the cause, and he showed that once again yesterday in our win at Leicester.
