MIAMI – Champions were crowned across Leagues A, B and C on Sunday as the the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ U-15 Championship underwent its sixth and final matchday.

League A took place in Alajuela, Costa Rica. League B matches were hosted in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and League C encounters were held in Oranjestad, Aruba.

United States, champions of League A

The United States repeated as champions after winning 3-0 against Mexico in the League A Final. Mia Cardona (14’), Mak Witham (65’), and Meila Brewer (70’+5) scored to help the U.S. become four-time winners.

Canada won the third-place match after defeating 2-1 hosts Costa Rica. Gabby Istocki opened the scoring in the 8’, before Las Ticas pulled one back in the 25’ thanks to Lucia Panigua. Alyssa Mcleod scored the match-winner in the 40’ to give the Canadians the win.

Honduras lift the trophy in League B

Honduras crowned themselves as champions of League B with a 1-0 win against the Dominican Republic. Dennise Madrid scored the lone goal in the 59’ to help her nation lift the trophy.

Trinidad and Tobago secured third place on home soil by defeating Guatemala 3-nil. Sanni Wilson scored first in the 12’, followed by Jayda Herbert in the 45’, and Mikalah Guerero in the 63’ as the hosts concluded the tournament with a victory.

Trinidad and Tobago 3-0 Guatemala

Hosts Aruba champion League C

Aruba proclaimed themselves champions on home soil with a 2-1 win against Saint Lucia in the League C Final. Amaya Emmanuel opened the scoring in the 12’ for the visitors. Adannayah Breinburg tied in the 27’ before Zyana Rogers struck in the 70’+6’ to complete the comeback.

In the third-place match, penalties were needed after Turks and Caicos Islands and Guadeloupe played to a goalless draw. Guadeloupe won the penalty shootout 7-6 to win the bronze medal.
