USWNT vs Brazil: How to watch Tuesday, projected lineup, score prediction | OneFootball

The U.S. women's national team will play its second friendly against Brazil on Tuesday night at Paypal Park in San Jose, Calif.

The Americans won the first encounter 2-0 on Saturday before more than 32,000 at SoFi Stadium five hours down the road in Inglewood, Calif., on goals from Trinity Rodman and Lindsey Heaps.

USWNT manager Emma Hayes is likely to make wholesale changes to the XI she sent out in the first match as she continues the process of evaluating her player pool with an eye towad the 2027 FIFA Wiomen's World Cup, which will be hosted by Tuesday's opponents.

Hayes made a couple interesting moves on Saturday, the most newsworthy of those seeing Trinity Rodman return to the starting XI for the first time since suffering a back injury last fall. Three members of her back line went the full 90, as did goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce, who gave a woman-of-the-match performance.

We're almost assured to see a different lineup dynamic in those positions, and probably most others. Here's a guess at what a heavily rotated USWNT squad Tuesday night may look like:

Score Prediction

Saturday's contest was closer than the Americans' 2-0 margin of victory suggested. And with a less settled XI likely to begin the match on Tuesday night, Brazil and its unique man-to-man marking approach could be a hard one to solve.

The fatigue from a second game in 72 hours also makes it possible this contest will be a bit more open on both ends. Ultimately the sides settle for a draw with plenty of chances on both ends.
