Venezuela held out for a draw in their Copa América opener with Peru on Saturday, and they had their goalkeeper to thank.
In the second half in Porto Alegre, Wuilker Faríñez came to his side’s rescue with an insane double save to prevent what looked like being a certain goal for Peru.
Brilliant from the 21-year-old Millonarios stopper, who had received treatment for a nasty looking head injury earlier in the match too.
Venezuela hung on for a 0-0 draw, which was particularly impressive considering they were reduced to ten men with 15 minutes remaining.
