FLW's Blackburn Rovers fan pundit has given his verdict on which issue the club need to fix as a priority this summer ahead of next season.

It is fair to say that it has been a turbulent few months for Blackburn Rovers, but they are still in with a chance of reaching the Championship play-offs with one game of the season remaining.
Blackburn spent much of the first half of the season in the top six, but they were dealt a devastating blow in February when head coach John Eustace decided to leave the club to take over at relegation-threatened Derby County.
Eustace's exit reignited long-standing frustrations with the club's ownership, and after his replacement, Valerien Ismael, made a poor start to life at Ewood Park, protests against the Venky's gathered pace.
Much of the anger of Rovers supporters was directed at chief executive Steve Waggott, head of football operations Rudy Gestede and chief operating officer Suhail Pasha, and some even called for the trio to stay away from games, but that request was declined.
However, despite the off-field turmoil at the club, Blackburn have enjoyed an impressive upturn in form under Ismael of late, winning their last four games, and they could sneak into the play-offs if they win at Sheffield United on Saturday and other results go in their favour.
When asked which issue the club need to fix as a priority in the summer ahead of next season, FLW's Blackburn Rovers fan pundit Simon Middlehurst insisted that communication with supporters must improve in order to create a greater sense of unity at Ewood Park.
"I think one of the biggest issues that the club need to sort out as a priority is the connection with the fans," Simon said.
"There has been a lot of times this season where there's just been no communication from the club towards the fans at all, unless it was the worst-case scenario when the fans really turned on the three senior members of the board that are there on matchdays.
"That is one thing they need to sort out.
"We can keep going on about the ownership, but it is pretty clear to see that the Venky's will not be going anywhere any time soon.
"So, right now, the club need to get the fans back on board, get that connection back, improve the communication and try and move forward as one club."
After a tough start to his reign, Ismael is slowly starting to convince the doubters he is the right man for the job, and Blackburn supporters have temporarily put their reservations about the ownership to one side in order to back their team in their play-off push.
As criticism mounted, Waggott, Gestede and Pasha gave a rare interview earlier this month, but while the increased communication is positive, it was the first time that Pasha has spoken to the media publicly since the Venky's bought Rovers in 2010, underlining exactly why supporters are frustrated.
Gestede then followed that up with an appearance on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast last week alongside former Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce, and although not all of his comments were well-received, he and his fellow board members should strive to maintain that level of openness and transparency, rather than only releasing statements during times of crisis.
