Chelsea’s training clips from this week had a nice long section dedicated to shooting – and perhaps that’s wise.

Enzo Maresca confirmed in his press conference yesterday that both of his two striker options, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu, are hurt and probably won’t play in the FA Cup game against Brighton later today. That notion was further backed up by the fact that neither of them feature in this training clip from Cobham.

So who’s going to step up and score the goals? Well Jadon Sancho smashes a nice few efforts in here, as does Enzo Fernandez. Neither of them is scoring as much as we need them to in games, and this would be a great chance to change that.

Tosin Adarabioyo also scores a banger – and we’ve seen him do that in game this season. Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to our central defenders to do the scoring, however…

Tension as goalkeepers compete for number one shirt

Chelsea’s goalkeepers train in an intense session at Cobham ahead of the FA Cup game against Brighton.

Another important part of the video is the final section which shows the goalkeepers competing against one another. This is the other big question mark about tonight’s game. Robert Sanchez was dropped for Monday night’s match against West Ham, with Filip Jorgensen coming in to replace him.

It must have been a tense and intense week of training as we all await tonight’s team sheet – does Jorgensen keep his place or is Sanchez given a chance to come back in? You can feel the tension in the clips of them working with the ball at their feet at Cobham.

All eyes on tonight’s team sheet, up front and in goal…
