McTominay is now on the verge of equalling his personal best of seven Premier League goals for Manchester United in 2023-24.

However, Udinese responded within three minutes at the Stadio Maradona, as Pasquale Mazzocchi scrambled to avoid a throw-in, allowing Udinese to continue their attack.

There was still a lot of work to be done, as Ekkelenkamp hit a viciously swerving strike from outside the box into the far bottom corner.
