After going 2-0 down, Chelsea are back to level against Ipswich, and they’ve still got time to win this game.

Marc Cucurella had grabbed the first, just 18 seconds after half time. That gave the team a big injection of momentum and belief, and just as that started to peter out, the Blues got their second.

It was a superb effort from Jadon Sancho, who picked the ball up on the edge of the box after a short corner and whipped it into the far side netting. The keeper had no chance.

It’s a reminder of just how good the on loan Manchester United winger’s technique is.

Chelsea must capitalise on remaining time to go on and win this game

We all moaned when Noni Madueke was taken off for Sancho – that’s in part because Sancho has a poor record of scoring this season, but it was also because Madueke had been our most threatening and effective attacker.

We can only assume it was injury related, with Madueke still working his way back to full fitness.

Still, we’re delighted that Jadon got a goal – and such a good one too. Hopefully it helps him internalise the fact that he needs to shoot more. When you can score goals like that, why wouldn’t you? He averages less than one shot a game, which is just not good enough for a player in a front 3. We need our attacking players to rack up goals, we can’t be relying on full backs to do the scoring.

Now let’s go on and win this game, there’s still time to do it.
