A truly bizarre twist in the Victor Osimhen saga saw a Nigerian pastor known for his prophecies urging the Napoli striker not to join Chelsea. ‘It will kill your career.’

The centre-forward is in negotiations for a move to Stamford Bridge in exchange for cash, Romelu Lukaku and perhaps more players to lower the costs of the transfer.

However, there were already reports in Italy and Germany that he was not enthusiastic about the idea, preferring Paris Saint-Germain, especially as the Blues have not qualified for the Champions League.

Now the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Nigeria, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has released a video warning the centre-forward not to go to Chelsea.

“I want to quickly advise Osimhen. Do not go to Chelsea. If you go to Chelsea, you will not shine. It will kill your career.”

He even suggested if this happens, then the Nigeria national team – nicknamed the Super Eagles – should not call the forward up either.
