One Chelsea cult hero has been criticising current striker Nicolas Jackson after Chelsea’s opening day Premier League defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Blues lost the game 2-0 but had a few chances of their own to score some goals.

There was one in particular that has grated on former midfielder John Obi Mikel. Jackson was offside in the end but he didn’t know at the time, but Mikel was not happy with how he struck the ball and has picked up on his shooting technique.

Mikel not happy

The former fan favourite has been an advocate of Chelsea signing Victor Osimhen, and he has once again said that the kind of finishing Osimhen can bring is what is missing.

As you can see in the vide above, Mikel said on Jackson:

“Even though he was offside, he dribbled one or two players, and the way he shot the ball. You need a striker who knows how to hit the ball in the back of the net and that is what we don’t have. We need a top striker.”
