Arsenal have discovered how much they will need to pay to sign Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners plan to address their attacking options at the end of the season, with their desire to bring in a striker and winger.
As a new No9 is a priority, it is no secret that Arsenal are long-term admirers of Newcastle's Alexander Isak having tracked him since his time at Real Sociedad.
However, Newcastle are in a strong position and amid reports last year suggested they will set an asking price in excess of £100million, it could be too expensive of a deal for the the north London outfit to complete.
Therefore, reports have emerged with regards to an alternative.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are developing strong interest in Gyokeres as a possible striker signing with newly appointed sporting director Andrea Berta firm admirer of 26 year-old.
Gyokeres has an €100m (£83.16m) release clause in his contract at Sporting, though the BBC report that the forward's camp have been told the Portuguese club would be willing to accept between €75m-€85m (£62.37m-£70.68m) for the player in the summer.
The Sweden international has become one of the most sought after strikers in European football after starring for Sporting CP, where he flourished, particularly, under Ruben Amorim before his move to Manchester United last November.
After netting a brace in Sporting’s 3-0 win over Estrela at the weekend Gyokeres has now scored 42 goals in as many games across all competitions so far this season.
