Villarreal ‘close’ to deal for Luiz Júnior | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Villarreal are on the verge of adding to their options between the posts for the season ahead.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Luiz Júnior as the player all set to link up with Marcelino’s troops.

The brass at La Cerámica have long been on the lookout for fresh blood in goal, after no.1 Filip Jörgensen opted to take his talents to the Premier League, with Chelsea.

Diego Conde has already been brought in from Leganés, but, evidently, Villarreal were not content with just one new shot-stopper.

In turn, efforts were recently set in motion to bring in the aforementioned Luiz Júnior, from Portuguese outfit Famalicão.

And, as alluded to above, this weekend, the Yellow Submarine look closer than ever to landing their man.

As per a report from Matteo Moretto of Relevo:

‘Villarreal are close to completing the signing of Luiz Júnior, the Brazilian goalkeeper of FC Famalicão. As reported by the Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the talks are very serious.’
