Vincenzo Italiano’s post-match comments

Vincenzo Italiano had the following to say following today’s defeat: “We got caught out from the first attack of the match, and it immediately became an uphill battle. When you go two goals down against Atalanta, it gets really tough. Our first 20 minutes weren’t up to par, but then we reacted and came close to getting back into it on several occasions. Credit should also go to our opponents, who, despite what was being said, clearly weren’t struggling – and they certainly proved that today.”
