Wahbi Khazri will be wondering if it’s too late to win the Puskas Award.
That’s because the Saint-Étienne midfielder scored a quite ridiculous goal against Metz on Saturday afternoon.
The Puskas Award will be dished out next month, given to the most aesthetically significant, or "most beautiful", goal of the calendar year.
And Khazri may well be in with a shout.
His St Etienne side trailed Metz after a ninth-minute goal from Farid Boulaya.
However, Claude Puel’s men were level just six minutes later thanks to Khazri’s unbelievable equaliser.
There was absolutely no danger when Khazri picked up the ball on the edge of his own penalty area. He carried the ball 10 or so yards without a challenge. And when he looked up, he saw Metz goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja off his line.
‘Why not?’ Khazri thought as he decided to have a shot from a full 60 yards.
And what an effort it was as it sailed over the head of Oukidja and bounced on the goalline before hitting the back of the net.
WHAT. A. GOAL.

St Etienne need a bit more magic like that from their players.
They currently sit bottom of Ligue 1 and are still winless from their 11 matches so far.
Meanwhile, Metz are just one position above their opponents. While they do have a solitary win under their belt, they have just six points to their name and sit three points adrift of safety.
Metz vs St Etienne really is a definition of a relegation six-pointer even though it's still early in the season.
And that goal from Khazri may prove to be as crucial as it was spectacular.
