Newly-promoted Crystal Palace will be under no illusions about the size of their task this season as they battle to retain their place in the WSL.
Their first two games ended in brutal defeats – the first a 4-0 loss to Tottenham and the second a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Chelsea.

At last, their fans have something to cheer about as Alice Blanchard netted their first ever goal in the top flight with a confident finish from a neat one-two.
And that one goal soon became two, as Blanchard fired in the second from the penalty spot.
