France found it tough against Belgium in their European Championship last 16 tie last night, but they got over the line thanks to an own-goal and another clean sheet.
It was Jan Vertonghen who stuck out a leg in the 85th minute that deflected the ball in, and that got Les Bleus into the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, but another resilient defensive effort helped which Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan contributed to.
