Ajax winger Steven Bergwijn could be on the move this summer and De Telegraaf are reporting that several sides across the globe are interested in the 26-year-old. Head coach Francesco Farioli is keen to keep the the player at the Johan Cruyff Arena, but Bergwijn reportedly wants to take on a new challenge in his career. Marseille and West Ham United have expressed their interest in the 35-time Netherlands international, whilst two unnamed Saudi Pro League have also made contact with his agent.

Farioli is reportedly preparing for next season with Steven Bergwijn in his squad, although the Italian realises that the former PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham forward is in demand elsewhere. Ajax have to sell players in order to make new signings, and they could demand between 25 and 30 million euros for Bergwijn.

Marseille are showing concrete interest in Bergwijn, but view Ajax’s asking price as too high. West Ham were keen on the player in January, but Premier League Financial Fair Play rules restricted them from splashing the cash at the time. Saudi Pro League clubs are willing to offer Steven Bergwijn more money, but it’s up to the player to decide whether he thinks now is the right time to move to the Middle East.
