Carlos Soler (27) has played a peripheral role ever since making the move to Paris Saint-Germain two years ago. Given the considerable recruitment drive from PSG again this summer, notably recruiting João Neves and Désiré Doué in midfield, Soler’s game time looks set to be further limited during the current campaign.

He is one of many players that Les Parisiens would like to move on before the closure of the transfer window in just under a fortnight’s time. There has been interest from La Liga, to which Soler is receptive. Real Sociedad and Valencia are both in the race, but as L’Équipe report, neither club has the means to complete a deal, as things stand.

There has also been interest from two Premier League sides: Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham UnitedL’Équipe understands that the latter are now making advances to complete a deal, having returned to the negotiating table in recent days.

Discussions with PSG and West Ham are open as they try to conclude a deal for the Spain international. Les Parisiens are asking for €20m to sign Soler.
